About this opportunity
We are looking for a Developer Team Leader for one of our teams in the Product Development Unit for Packet Core (PDU PC). The PDU PC is an area responsible for the development and maintenance of the Ericsson Packet Core portfolio. The unit has developed the 2G, 3G, 4G, and now 5G Packet Core. The PDU has main sites in 5 countries globally: China, Hungary, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. The Development Group unit in Madrid (DG AO) specializes in Analytics & Optimizations. We develop, release, and maintain best-in-class traffic management, optimization, and analytics service functions reusable across the PC Gateway and Multi-Service Proxy portfolio.

What you will do
The person should be interested in driving and coordinating development activities inside a multi-functional team as well as being a senior developer within this team, who should fulfill these expectations:
Senior developer role
Drive Strategic Technical Leadership
Participate in and understand technical strategies for own product area
Stay informed about industry practices and professional/technical development
Align technology strategies with product and technology development
Technical reference within the team
Hold the team accountable for its goals and alignment with the organization and operational strategy (SFA)
Facilitate the split of work and tasks to improve team productivity and KPI alignment (Quality, Lead Time, Predictability)
Delegate tasks and responsibilities within team members
Encourage solutions for barriers
Guide the team through the feature development process
Encourage further division and grouping of user stories in minimum deliverable blocks (in coordination with Product Owner) to support optimal lead time, scoping decisions, and continuous and iterative development & integration
Develop & Test high-quality Products
Senior active contribution to product evolution
Maintain architecture for products, solutions, systems
Knowledgeable in several technical areas
Drive Continuous Improvements of products and processes
Drive and promote CI of products, services, and processes, as an integrated part of the development work
Initiate and drive improvements in own organization, drive innovation
Main XFT interface towards line & other teams
Facilitate communication within and outside the team
Understand and coordinate the relationships and dependencies with other teams and roles
Update progress of activities, raising attention points and proposing solutions or corrective actions when needed
Provide feedback to management about competence development needs and other factors influencing team performance
Soft Skills
Good balance between technical, communication & leadership skills
Capable of acting and taking decisions and risks when uncertainty and/or unexpected changing context
Act as a mentor and coach for colleagues with less experience; contribute to team results and spirit
Curious & Positive attitude; effective at conflict handling; results-oriented
Competence background in the DPI&Policy domain, business requirements, and technical challenges
You will bring
A bachelor's or equivalent experience, master's, or doctorate degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering or related fields
Experience programming in C/C++ and at least one scripting language (Python, shell/bash, or similar) on UNIX/Linux
Experience in TCP/IP Networking, data networks, and IP-based applications
Capacity to investigate and debug complex issues
Good written and spoken English, confident working in international environments
Desirable knowledge of cloud environments: Docker, Kubernetes; advanced Linux user and network administrator; experience in configuration of network equipment
