DESCRIPTION: IMDEA Materials Institute is seeking a laboratory technician to support the activities of a biomaterials and cell culture laboratory. Responsibilities include establishing the proper layout and maintenance of the laboratory (management of purchases and maintenance of the stocks of the consumables), tasks related to biosafety such as updating standard operating procedures and key work practices, training others in these protocols, maintenance of the equipment, training of new users, and maintenance of mammalian cell lines and routine cell culture experiments.REQUIREMENTS: A good command of English (both oral and written) is mandatory. Previous experience with mammalian cell culture and/or cytotoxicity assays is a plus. Candidates must be over 16 years of age and under 30 years of age, and registered as an unemployed job seeker in one of the employment offices of the Community of Madrid.
