Your role:
The business in Spain is strongly growing and we are looking to hire a Business Development Manager Spain who will help us to deal with existing and establish new business opportunities in Spain. Operating from our new office in Madrid, you will be the bridge to our German Headquarters and Spanish business partners and help build up a Spanish subsidiary with the mission to position Debitos as the #1 player in the Spanish market. As Business Development Manager, you will have responsibility for Debitos' growth in Spain – identifying opportunities, driving revenue, and supporting management to make the right decisions.
Your responsibilities:
Define the growth strategy for the Spanish market together with management, generate sales, and create new business opportunities while managing sales processes.
Build brand awareness, plan and lead marketing activities for the region, and drive successful marketing projects.
Research the market, provide market insights, and identify the most promising potential clients and partners.
Adopt the platform and materials to the cultural differences of Spanish users.
Work cross-functionally to maximize the market's full potential.
Requirements:
University degree in business studies, economics, marketing, or a comparable field.
At least 3 years of hands-on work experience in business development or business advisory; banking and sales experience is advantageous, start-up experience is a plus.
Native or equivalent Spanish and English skills.
Flexibility to travel between Germany and Spain.
Hands-on mentality, able to balance long-term strategic work with operations and execution.
Pragmatic thinker with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with high attention to detail while being a team player.
Work directly with the Management Board to bring your ideas to fruition.
