Role DescriptionThe Global Technology Procurement Manager will serve as a category manager for the Global Technology Procurement Team. They will identify suppliers and strategic partners that align with Tech's strategic objectives, manage competitive bids, negotiate, and award contracts, resolve supplier and contract issues, ensure adherence to Procurement Policy, create, and drive savings and other incentives, and any other procurement activity required to support the business.
The Global Technology Procurement Manager reports directly to the Global Director, Technology Procurement. This role can be based in any of Arcadis Global GBA countries.
Role AccountabilitiesIndividual Accountabilities:Lead global projects from bid strategy formulation, creating, and managing the RFP process, recommendation of vendor selection, to final contract negotiation.Develop negotiation strategies and gain stakeholder buy-in.Partner with the Tech Leadership Team, legal, global Information security, and data privacy to create and drive strategy.Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure a uniform method of work that delivers exceptional performance values for Arcadis and its clients.Manage spend in IT categories including software, hardware, and services.Key Shared Accountabilities:Technology Procurement is responsible for all technology product and service 3rd party expenditures across the Arcadis global enterprise.Strategic Tech activities, i.e., business partnering and category management fall within the remit of Tech Procurement.Tactical activities sit within GSSC. Tech category managers are often required to provide guidance and mentorship to GSSC.Each Tech Category (i.e., Software, Professional Services, Security, Telecommunications, Hardware, etc.) should have a dedicated procurement partner or manager assigned to manage it.Qualifications & ExperienceTo be successful in this role:
Degree qualified (Master preferred but not essential) in business, finance, IT, or equivalent.Demonstrate significant experience working within indirect procurement, across technology, ideally across hardware, software, and IT services, within a large matrix organization.Experience being a strategic thinker, who can contribute ideas and perspective to procurement and tech leaders.Demonstrate experience leading multimillion-dollar deals, communicating and presenting to senior level executives.Show experience in problem-solving complex contractual challenges and bringing a solution-focused approach with a client focus mindset.Additional Desired Experience includes:
A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding, and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves.Possesses a client-focused approach, as demonstrated by a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work assignments and new learning opportunities.Knowledge of Oracle ERP.
