This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Impact and is preferably based in Barcelona, Spain or Nairobi, Kenya.
ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of a comprehensive HCD approach to SBCC to support the achievement of Worldreader's Global Impact Strategy.Provide technical guidance across Worldreader to support the integration of SBCC across Regional Teams, Impact and Evidence, Marketing and Communications, Product Development, and Education Programming.Develop and deliver training to build the SBCC capacity of Worldreader teams and project partners.Collaborate on the development of internal and external SBCC tools, campaign activities, and materials using evidence-based theories and methodologies.Provide technical oversight, strategic direction, and implementation of SBCC efforts including support to Worldreader partners and oversight of regional contractors.Oversee the program and technical aspects of the procurement process in contracting and overseeing vendors providing local SBCC services and products.QualificationsMasters degree (e.g. education, behavior change, anthropology, sociology, psychology, marketing and/or behavior sciences).Minimum of 7-10 years experience designing, planning, and implementing SBCC and HCD strategies and approaches. Some experience with learning behavior is preferred.Proven project management skills, with the ability to set priorities, multi-task, and experience leading at least 3 major SBCC campaigns.Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact and build rapport externally and internally with functional experts and senior leaders to support business strategy.Strong commitment to Worldreader's mission and values.Previous experience in a start-up setting or proven ability to effectively operate in a start-up culture.Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Spanish, Hindi, or Kiswahili is a plus.Demonstrated experience using social media tools to drive behavior change and creating visual and graphic content a plus.Location: Barcelona, Spain
