.The RoleImperial Brands is an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees who are looking to introduce a Sales Planning Manager (West Region) to join the team in Madrid.The Sales Planning Manager will be responsible for the entire regional monthly forecast process. So, if you have an analytical mindset and passion for numbers, whilst also being a great communicator, this is the role for you!Principal AccountabilitiesUnderstand Market dynamics and trends; being able to read market dynamics and to transform this information into an accurate market size model – taking consumer trends, seasonality, passenger nationality mix etc. into account.Understand Sales Cycle planning & product initiatives; gather all information on product initiatives, product lifecycle timelines, promotions and properly reflect and incorporate in the latest sales outlook considering potential volume impact.Understanding Competitor Intelligence; translate competitor intelligence insights that are shared by the Insights & Intelligence team and could impact our sales forecast. Proactivity in providing solutions/analysis to mitigate impact/gain information from competitors if applicable.Collect & Prepare Historical Data; combine available internal and external historical data to support forecast development and accuracy.Generate Baseline Forecast for the Market; ensuring all business drivers are captured and integrated into the monthly forecast. Focus on key markets whilst reviewing monitoring of smaller markets to cover full scope.Forecast performance review & Learning; align with Sales Operations Team and central Demand Planning team to optimize and support the forecast performance review process as part of the monthly meeting drumbeat, understand deviations and embed constant learning.KPI monitoring; actively contribute with proper Sales planning to improve Sales forecast accuracy and Sales forecast Bias, to minimize write-off costs for finished goods and materials.Skills and Experience RequiredMinimum 5-10 years' experience in demand and/or supply planning, insight, or commercial analytical role in an international environment.Thriving on analyzing complex information (including different data sources).Analytical mindset and passion for numbers, whilst also being a great communicator.Self-Motivation and ability to work autonomously and be able to work against deadlines and under pressure.Ability to embrace change in established operational techniques and practices.Collaborative mindset, keen to play an active role in an international team working across multiple time zones.Fluent in English and proficiency in working with Power BI and MS Excel
