We are a fast-growing team helping to drive the pace and scale of the energy transition and serving different customer segments with integrated analysis. Some of the services we provide include calculation and benchmarking of emissions across the full value chain of commodities, tracking and forecasting of carbon prices, and research and reporting on carbon marketsRole PurposeThis role will serve as part of Carbon research team, and is global in its nature rather than being focused on a specific region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong, global team and make a major contribution to decarbonization and the energy transition at a global scale.As part of our global Carbon team, you will develop a deep understanding of compliance carbon pricing regimes. You will play an important leading role in the development and expansion of our carbon pricing knowledge, modelling and offerings.Importantly, you will also develop your own network with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams and industry partners. This will be to establish a knowledge base to test assumptions on methodologies, as well as to represent Wood Mackenzie's research in a high-quality way to customers.Main ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Research Analyst who is expected to:Be up to date on developments in carbon policies and compliance carbon pricing regimes, via primary research on compliance carbon pricing regimes around the world, including carbon tax, emission trading schemes and other relevant forms of carbon pricing.Contribute to the delivery of regular compliance pricing market updates
