YesOffer Description CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOBJob Location: ICRA – Catalan Institute for Water Research, Girona (Spain)Number of positions available: 1Expected start: November 1st, 2024Non-permanent Indefinite Position: approximately 24 monthsOFFER DESCRIPTIONThe research technician advanced will have to develop mathematical models for the simulation of processes associated with the water cycle, such as hydrological models, water quality models, wastewater treatment plants, or collector systems.KEY DUTIES Develop or co-develop numerical models to simulate natural processes (hydrology and water quality) at basin or sub-basin scale, using SWAT+ or similar models.Develop or co-develop advanced statistical models based on AI for different applications in the field of the water cycle.Minimum Requirements Education: Degree or Master's degree in computer engineeringSkills:Required Languages:CatalanEnglishRequired Experience:At least 12 months in a research center as a modeling technician.Languages ENGLISH: ExcellentCATALAN: RequiredAdditional Information Working conditions: Employed in compliance with Spanish legislation and regulations.
