Procurement Category Manager Films & Foils Purpose : The purpose of the position is category management and responsibility for procurement and supplier management on a global level in the field of flexible pharmaceutical packaging (blisters, sachets) and the materials required for this (films & foils) for the Consumer Health and the Pharma division.
The job holder will be responsible for the delivery of all related materials/products/services of the right quality, on time and at competitive costs within his/her area of responsibility.
The job holder manages the supplier selection and ongoing supplier management in his/her area of responsibility.
The position holder contributes with strategic initiatives to create value within the company and manages procurement projects that add value to his/her area of responsibility.
The position is responsible for relationships with key decision makers within the company and identifies areas/options for further value creation.
Scope : Global Key Tasks : Category Management : Develops and ensures the implementation of a category strategy that generates significant business value (e.g.
savings, improved payment terms, increased compliance/sustainability, reduced risk).
Deploys market information to categories and market trends to gain competitive advantage and make better business decisions.
Identifies market trends within the supplier base (e.g.
new potential suppliers) to leverage the innovation potential within the (sub)category.
Analyzes and understands the overall costs within the area of responsibility to identify better and/or develop innovative pricing models (e.g.
performance-based or index-based pricing).
Ensures and is accountable for Bayer processes and systems being reflected within the category strategy.
Translates the results of category strategies, initiatives and projects into procurement specifications and coordinates these together with SSO and external partners.
Defines joint target agreements and procurement projects (if applicable) and serves as the central point of contact for all procurement-related issues for his/her business partners.
Knows business strategies, goals and demand forecasts, understanding and demanding the resulting business requirements.
Defines what value procurement can create for the company's stakeholder community and proposes strategic initiatives that align with that defined value.
Supplier Management : Applies fit-for-purpose supplier management to the entire supply base within his/her responsibility and establishes relationships with assigned strategic partners, key suppliers and selected upstream suppliers as needed.
Routes suppliers in the direction of internal business stakeholders and establishes relationships with external suppliers to onboard and build a common understanding.
Develops a supplier strategy that is consistent with the existing category strategies in order to achieve strategic goals.
Develops innovation potential and resources of the supplier through joint innovation initiatives, analysis of cost structures and drivers, as well as continuous improvement and process optimization.
Procurement : Plans and conducts sourcing events for strategic initiatives and tactical ad hoc sourcing projects to gain a competitive advantage.
Prepares and conducts supplier negotiations, places supply orders and conducts debriefings and ensures handover to SSO for content creation in the system and order processing.
Key Working Relations : Internal : Reports to the Head of Packaging Research & Development, (location) Supply Chain, Quality, Brand teams Procurement internal relationships with SSO and Governance & Enabling External : Interface to the external provider for your own area of responsibility #J-18808-Ljbffr
