Product Management Excellence Principal Specialist Business Environment The Airline Solutions Product Management team is looking for a Product Management Excellence Principal Specialist to contribute to the evolution and growth of our Product Management Excellence practice. About the role You will define and drive the evolution of the product management practice and mind-set across the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Airline Solutions unit, helping Product Managers to make fast and high-quality product decisions. You will work with the product management community across all of Amadeus and adapt industry best practices to make sure teams focus on value generation for our customers whilst applying an all-encompassing approach to product management.

In this role you will: Define and promote product management best practices. Lead the definition, evolution, and adoption of product management best practices for Airline Solutions. Work with the product leadership team and product managers to identify upskilling needs and liaise with the relevant teams to define a plan of execution. Work with people managers to analyse and remove impediments to improve the efficiency of our product management practices. Lead Amadeus' Product Life Cycle (PLC) adoption and evolution; PLC is our internal, companywide, product management framework. Lead the activities to support the framework adoption in the Airline Solutions business line and implement the PLC corporate guidelines in the organisation. Be the liaison point for Airline Solutions for all subjects related to PLC, feeding back field learnings to the global PLC organisation and working cross-functionally to improve the framework. Define, measure and communicate about product management practice metrics, focusing on speed and quality of our product decision making. Be known as the expert on product management best practices and support product managers of all seniority. Provide expert guidance, promote innovation, train and coach groups or individuals as required on product management practices and tools. Perform continuous monitoring, build a strong network internally and externally to maintain expertise of product management practices. Analyse how Amadeus can implement these new best practices. The role, as currently defined, does not have direct reports.

About the ideal candidate Minimum of 5 years of experience working across Product, Product Marketing, and Engineering teams in an Enterprise or B2B Scale-up environment. Experience implementing change at scale. Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements. Experience creating and executing strategies for a major product or a suite of products. Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and drive people towards a common goal. Experience using written and verbal communication to teach and influence diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership. Preferred qualifications Experience working in the travel technology landscape. Experience defining product management processes and best practices.
