Proactive Tail Specialist, Global Procurement Shared Services [Th-475]

Amazon is hiring a Procurement Buyer for the Proactive Tail team to be based in our corporate offices in Barcelona. As a member of the Procurement Shared Services team, you will support the EU procurement and business teams by delivering operational purchasing tasks and assignments. This role will report to the Proactive Tail Manager.

Main Scope: To provide spend intelligence and sourcing support to GPO projects in alignment with Category Strategy. This includes running low-medium RFQs, tracking projects with Category, analyzing spend, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to eliminate tail and find savings opportunities.

Process Proactive Tail projectsSource low-medium complex projects (RFQs)Point of contact for some internal stakeholders and external (vendors/manufacturers)Set up and maintain Category and SPO relationshipsWork in full compliance with the company Spending and Transaction policySupport Kaizen and continuous improvement projectsBuild and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with our internal customers and suppliersEnsure alignment to all procurement processes & operationsParticipate in cross-functional improvement projectsUtilize multiple databases and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting, and analytics to measure the effectiveness of team performanceTrain employees of the GPSS as well as other stakeholdersPrioritize requirements, highlight any missing information and risks to business, and challenge for clarification in time Basic QualificationsStrong communication skillsHigh precision in verbal and written communicationProficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizationsPrevious experience in purchasing or shared service centersAdvanced in MS Office – in particular MS ExcelSelf-motivatedAbility to resolve day-to-day problems and focus on delivering resultsAbility to make effective escalation decisionsGood attention to detail and organizational skills and insist on the highest standardsAble to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment, with good time management skills Education and ExperienceUniversity degree or a procurement qualification equivalent
