Private Equity and M&A Portfolio Manager - [YV-986] Barcelona, CataloniaDescription:
We are looking for a Portfolio Manager for our Private Equity and M&A area. This position is to be based in our Madrid office.
Responsibilities:In this role you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex priority accounts, with the goal of driving growth, profitability, and client satisfaction. The Portfolio Manager acts as the primary point of contact for day-to-day communication with numerous and/or complex accounts, ensuring effective and timely communication and maintaining strong client relationships.
What can you expect?Align client strategies and needs with Marsh McLennan's capabilities and resources, acting as a trusted advisor to clients.Play a key role in new business development, expanding and diversifying the range of our products and services held by clients.Gain exposure to a large portfolio of external Private Capital clients and have the platform to develop key relationships with business leaders within Marsh McLennan.What's in it for you?Be part of a great team of people working across the European region (with a focus on the Spanish market).Be part of a multinational organization where you'll be able to learn, grow and develop your career.Flexible work environment and hybrid work from home policy.Generous benefits package.We will count on you to:Develop and maintain relationships with private capital investment firms and their portfolio investee businesses, acting as the client's trusted advisor.Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day communication with numerous and/or complex accounts, following up on correspondences and managing communications.Develop and communicate a deep understanding of client businesses by conducting and analyzing client research, industry research, benchmarking studies, and creating risk maps for internal and external use.Support colleagues by managing day-to-day aspects for designated accounts, including transactional work, generating and coordinating calendars and timelines, liaising between internal senior professionals and business accounts, and representing the business to ensure satisfaction, compliance, and allow senior colleagues to focus on growth efforts.Manage account concerns or issues encountered and successfully address small and complex problems in a timely manner, applying judgment as to when and what to escalate to senior colleagues.Collect insights and information on relationship satisfaction and report results to senior colleagues, offering context and suggestions to ensure account satisfaction and retention.Build relationships with professional counterparts internally and at client organizations.Maintain fluency in the company's various service offerings and market trends to enrich work performed and develop sales capabilities.What you need to have:Several years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry or a related role (at least 5-6 years).Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth client and industry analysis.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.Problem-solving skills, with the ability to address small and complex issues in a timely manner.Knowledge of financial services and insurance industry trends and products.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.What makes you stand out?Experience in a fund administrator company.Knowledge of M&A and portfolio company workstreams.Have a professional network within the private capital industry.Excellent organizational, project management and interpersonal skills.Self-driven and motivated.A desire to provide exceptional customer service.About MarshMarsh is the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor.
