We are seeking an experienced Operations Consultant to lead the successful opening of our first residential property in Spain, located in Madrid.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our expansion into a new market, ensuring smooth operations, efficient processes, and an exceptional resident experience.
The consultant will be responsible for developing the operational strategy, managing third-party service providers, and ensuring all logistical, technical, and commercial considerations are aligned with our broader business objectives.
This is a 4-6 month contract with immediate start.
You must be based in the Madrid area.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the procurement and appointment of third-party contractors for housekeeping, maintenance, and other essential services.
You will be expected to develop a comprehensive timeline and list of services required for the operation of the building, ensuring all contracts are in place prior to launch.
Provide a detailed mobilisation plan ahead of the opening, ensuring all operational aspects, from staffing and risk assessments to resident materials and site readiness, are handled.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and business practices specific to Madrid and Spain, including lease agreements, lodging service contracts, and employment considerations.
This includes advising on Spain's rental laws, deposit structures, cancellation policies, and tax implications, as well as navigating employment regulations for both in-house and outsourced staff.
Qualifications: Proven experience in Spanish property operations, preferably in the residential or hospitality sectors, with a focus on new market launches.
Strong knowledge of the Madrid market and experience with third-party contractor management and procurement processes.
Excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and meeting tight deadlines.
