Operational Buyer - Technical ProcurementDate: 16 Sep 2024Location: Suria, ES, 8260Role's purpose:We are looking for an Operational Buyer – Engineering, Contracting & MRO to execute the technical procurement activities aligned with ICL's global sourcing strategies. This role will be based at Suria, Barcelona (Spain).In this role, your goal will be to lead procurement of indirect services, transactional and sourcing activities including Projects and MRO, responsible for the Site locations in Spain. You will be working in a team of Sourcing Managers and Operational Buyers in this sub-category, reporting to your line manager, the Hub Procurement Manager, Spain.Main Responsibilities:Actively participate in the sourcing activities, with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving service quality or vendor service levels.Participate in Project / Maintenance meetings at Site. Be the focal point of contact for stakeholders.Prepare purchase orders in ERP system (SAP), follow and update.Prepare RFP/ RFQ documentation and carry out commercial evaluation.Identify, evaluate & select suppliers, negotiate and close framework agreements.Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets & trends of the Contractors sub-category.Engage in commercial negotiations & interactions with suppliers.Monitor performances of vendors and their compliance with their commitments.Follow up on orders to ensure that items are shipped and delivered on time.Address & solve operational issues with suppliers.Monitor and resolve any payment processing challenges.Review, prepare, verify and/or approve financial and business transactions within established frameworks and guidelines.To succeed in this role:Bachelor's degree in engineering field; or higherTotal 5+ years of experience and at least 3 years of relevant work in procurementUnderstanding of contracting services markets.Advanced English level.Strong negotiation skills and result-driven personality.Excellent interpersonal, business acumen, communication, and supplier relations skills.Ability to work collaboratively, and in a matrix management style organization.Strategic thinker and pragmatic worker.Apply on our Careers Page below or share with your network!Please apply through the application link and submit a copy of your current CV along with a cover letter.ICL Iberia, we are the only company that produces potassium salts in Spain, and we are dedicated to the extraction, treatment and marketing of sodium and potassium salts.
