Senior People Development Advisor - 12 month FTC
Responsible to: People Development Manager
Department: People Development
Location: Bury Head Office
Role Overview: To provide a high quality, commercially focused People Development service through delivery of appropriate development activities that support the business development strategy.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
Support the People Development Manager to assure quality of all development initiatives and activities.
Lead the planning, organisation and implementation of all development activities.
Operate as a subject matter expert within the People Development Team to best support the team and wider stakeholders on best practice.
Act as supervisor for team, offering guidance, support and encouragement to maintain focus and engagement whilst picking up on potential issues and solving them.
Support the on-going project management for development initiatives and activities.
Write, check and maintain processes and procedures within the team to streamline workflows and create better ways of working.
Along with the responsibilities of a People Development Advisor:
Write & deliver performance focussed People Development activity to audiences across group through instructor led virtual sessions, coaching and face-to-face sessions.
Conduct follow-up activity to ensure impact after development interventions; and to inform further learning needs.
Take part in the learning design process to evaluate learning interventions and continuously improve the People Development offer.
Act as a coach for individuals on programmes or 1:1 as part of their personal and professional development.
Work with Line Managers to improve team KPI delivery, identify trends and work in partnership to improve areas of concern though effective individual and team development activities.
Stay up to date and apply current theory in the practice of training delivery.
Skills / Knowledge Needed:
Demonstrates excellent communication, training delivery and coaching skills.
A drive to keep up to date with current learning & development practices and thorough understanding of learning & development principles.
Passionate about delivering exciting learning experiences that positively impact both an individual's performance and business performance.
Can demonstrate a proven track record showing their ability to deliver learning activity which is focused on performance development and aligned to business objectives.
Experience in writing and designing engaging learning experiences that follow proven structure and produce results.
Ability to analyse data to inform further development needs for the individual, the business and continuous improvement of learning materials.
Possesses a commercial mind-set, high levels of resilience and able to work within a fast paced and changing environment.
Strong project management skills including planning work and managing multiple tasks / projects to deliver consistent results.
Ambitious to learn with an enthusiastic approach, curiosity, and appetite for development.
Excellent IT skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, Internet, Outlook, MS Teams, LMS) and the ability to interrogate data to inform decisions.
