Applications are invited by the UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE PRESIDENT for an open-ended contractual junior research position to collaborate with the funded line of research "R&D in CRISPR-Cas systems".

Number of vacancies and features of the job vacancy Number of job vacancies: one.
Job position: Junior Researcher.
Funded line of research: "R&D in CRISPR-Cas systems".
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, in morning/afternoon sessions.
Remuneration: €2,200 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).

First project in which the successful applicant will collaborate Name of the project: "Research on CRISPR-Cas type IV systems (Ref.
PROMETEO/2021/057)".
Tasks to be carried out: Activity assays and operation of type IV CRISPR-Cas systems.
Third.
Job profile Preference will be given to: Those applicants with experience and training related to the tasks indicated in the second section and in: Biochemical purification and characterisation of proteins.
Molecular biology techniques of prokaryotes.
Language: English (only level of English higher than the level stated in the fourth section will be assessed).
Knowledge of Catalan.
Qualifications: Official Master's degree in the field of Biology.
PhD in the field of Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or equivalent content.
Requirements for applicants Hold or be in the process of obtaining a PhD degree certificate.
Hold or be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Biology plus an official Master's degree.
Language: B2 English.
Be a Spanish national or be in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.
Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
Possess the physical and mental capacities and aptitudes necessary for the performance of the corresponding functions.
Must not have been dismissed by disciplinary proceedings from the service of any of the Public Administrations.
