The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed of an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team supported by flexible and efficient administration and high-end innovative technologies. In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' Award from the European Commission. The role
We are looking for a laboratory technician for the field of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS). The technicians will work together with the other team members to provide various kinds of NGS services to the users of the CRG Genomics Unit.
Whom would we like to hire? Professional experience Must Have You have two years of relevant laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques.Desirable but not required You have previous hands-on experience with NGS library preparation.You have experience with Agilent Bioanalyzer, Fragment Analyzer, TapeStation or similar equipment for DNA/RNA analysis.You have experience with automated liquid handling systems.You have previous hands-on experience with Illumina sequencing instruments.Education and training You hold a Formació Professional (FP) or B.Sc in molecular biology or a related field.Languages You are fluent in English.Technical skills You have hands-on experience with relevant molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR; RT-PCR, qPCR, electrophoresis, DNA/RNA purification).You are familiar with MS Office.Competences You are able to work in a dynamic environment.You have a flexible working attitude.The Offer - Working Conditions Contract duration: 1 year.Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.Target start date: as soon as possible.We provide a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructures and unique professional career development opportunities.
