To support the company in becoming a global champion in the low-carbon nitrogen-based fertiliser market, FertigHy is looking for a Financial and Administrative Manager.
Working closely with the CFO, you will ensure a consistent development and execution of the financial roadmap aligned with the company's goals and objectives. More specifically you will be in charge of the following tasks:
Independently manage the financial and administrative operations in the company.
Act as a right-hand person to the CFO for detailed finance, accounting, tax and controls related matters.
Support the CFO in equity and debt fundraising in terms of research or screening of potential investors, liaising with advisors and preparing detailed materials to support the fundraising initiative.
Develop and implement planning processes, including budgeting, tax, insurance, credit, treasury, and cost analysis.
Implement and maintain compliance procedures (legal, tax, accounting, labour).
FP&A: Manage budgeting process including the development of annual departmental budgets and monitor these departmental budgets to ensure that spending occurs as planned and that variances are anticipated.
Propose relevant solutions to improve cash management in the short and medium term.
Lead the year-end financial audit procedures and act as the key liaison between FertigHy and its auditors.
Prepare timely and detailed financial reports for presentation to the C-Suite, shareholders, BoD.
HR matters: responsible for day-to-day HR and team matters such as incorporation of new joiners, liaising with external advisors to facilitate contracts, ensure all employees have necessary technical support (IT matters) and training.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the business.
6+ years of relevant work experience in finance departments in start-up or larger multinational company environment
Strong knowledge of finance and accounting concepts (IFRS and Spanish GAAP)
Organisation and management of others (advisors, auditors, etc)
Autonomy and personal responsibility required to lead the department
Detail orientated
Interest in the energy transition sector and working in a start-up environment
High level of spoken and written English (B2+)
Skills in preparing financial projections/financial modelling would be considered a plus
