Position SummaryThe Director will be responsible for all aspects of the Digital Workflow Solutions business for the EMEA group. He/she will ensure the timely delivery of services and products that meet Healthcare's needs while ensuring strict adherence to quality, regulatory and safety requirements.
He/she will manage to maximize the effective use of labor, equipment and other resources, in order to drive aggressive growth, meet customer service expectations and contractual requirements and do so within the financial parameters of the Plan for EMEA. In executing these responsibilities, the Managing Director will work closely with the system sterile processing and operations leadership within EMEA.
The Director reports directly to the Vice President of Digital Workflow Solutions and the incumbent will liaise with the Vice President and Managing Director EMEA (intended to reference Arnaud).
DutiesStrategic Business Planning
• Work with country leaders to define requirements for competitive and conforming software products in CSSD and GI.
• Distill requirements into an EMEA product strategy so the Dev team can execute based on priority and timing needed to support financial performance in the region.
• Establish knowledge base in the region to support compelling and competitive RFP and Tender submissions for companion IPT products.
• Build an operational plan that contemplates product preparedness, market opportunity and resource allocation to achieve targeted growth goals.
• Build out local teams to growth trajectories, Customer satisfaction, and overall portfolio competitiveness is sustainable.Financial Control and Authority
• Develop and perform against budget and financial targets set by the Business Unit. Targets include, but are not limited to, operating profit, return on capital employed, direct and indirect costs, and cash flow.
• Create weekly and monthly management reports, dashboards and other metrics.
• Control labor hours and costs within budgeted allowances.
• Monitor and ensure all transactions are banked, secured and controlled in accordance with company policy.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and procedures, including, but not limited to, capital expenditure, commerce transactions, and procurement policies.Operational Management
• Create and lead a culture of constant improvement and excellence and deliver this through innovation and development of process improvement, operational practices and quality assurance.
• Ensure the effective use of the IT, finance and other systems to maintain the integrity and availability of management information.
• Produce and report timely and accurate management information; record and report key performance indicators.
• Implement and actively maintain compliance to company policies and defined Standard Operating Procedures set out in the company's quality standards.
• Organize and ensure the efficient delivery of services in accordance with contractual service level agreements.Risk Management, Security, Health and Safety
• Actively manage risk by developing and implementing the Division's risk management procedures and implement a sustainable strategy.
• Identify existing and new risks and create a culture of vigilance and proactive risk management.Quality Assurance and Customer Service
• Maintain product and service quality standards at an acceptable level in accordance with Company standards and established performance targets.
• Create and deliver a quality-driven culture and environment within the unit by working with and supporting the Divisional and Group quality personnel and report quality conflicts to Regional level.
• Work proactively to improve process, quality and risk controls and to eliminate inefficiencies.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and other stakeholders to report on quality, service, finance, volume, risk and contractual issues.Human Resources
• Create a culture of development and opportunity characterized by reward, recognition, training, development and advancement opportunities.
• Effectively manage staff training and development, provide career development plans, carry out and document appraisals and develop succession planning.
• Foster a workplace culture consistent with the values and mission of the company.
• Partner with Human Resources to manage the performance of staff in the unit and carry out performance management processes and resolve grievances as required in line with the company policy.Supervisory Responsibilities
• Responsible for direct supervision, development and evaluation of employees through a team of direct and indirect reports operating in a matrix organization.
• Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills required to positively engage all constituents across the business – clients and vendors.Education DegreeBachelor's Degree
Required Experience• Minimum of 10 years of progressive management and leadership experience consisting of P&L responsibility, multi-site operational responsibility and logistics/distribution.
• Prior experience in the health care industry and/or acute awareness of the complexities of a major health care system.
• Ability to contribute significantly to the strategic planning process and being a core leader in the tactical and operational execution of the strategy.
• Superior interpersonal communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated financial acumen.
• Proven client-facing skills and account planning experience.
• Strong demonstrated depth of understanding related to production processes and control.
• Self-starter; ability to work independently when required. Ability to set priorities, demonstrate flexibility, multi-task and meet deadlines. Good time management skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret written requirements to assure adherence to documented procedures and to interpret and implement device GMP's/QSR.
