Position: Computational Modeller - Microbiology Research Group Job DescriptionEducation and Qualifications:Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Biosystems Engineering.- Master's degree in Data Science and/or Biostatistics.- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English (business level).Desired: - Specific/Additional training in programming in Matlab and R.Experience and Knowledge:Required: - At least 1 year of experience working in real data analysis in epidemiology and public health.Desired: - Ability to build, implement, and parameterize epidemiological models, particularly SEIR-type and Agent-based models.Main Responsibilities and Duties:- Analysis of epidemiological data related to enteroviruses.- Building, implementation, and parameterization of mechanistic models for understanding issues related to enterovirus dynamics.- Building, implementation, and parameterization of predictive models.- Development of visualization systems for real data and short-term predictions.- Writing reports and scientific articles.- Co-supervision of bachelor's and master's theses.Labour Conditions:- Full-time/Part-time position: 28.5 h/week.- Starting date: immediate.- Gross annual salary: 17,500€.
