JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Associate Procurement Manager Logistics is responsible for delivering business results, implementing global strategies, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing total cost of ownership, all of which are required to meet the business needs.
Main Responsibilities: Developing and deploying strategies to optimize the total delivery cost across an identified set of Logistics categories.Engaging with key business stakeholders, from SVPs to the operational level, to maintain alignment with evolving business needs.Engaging and collaborating with Logistics Operations teams to drive portfolio optimization and consolidation.Negotiating service T&Cs with suppliers.Development, revision and discussion of commercial contracts with suppliers.Ensuring security of supply by driving alternative solutions and contingency plans.Upholding supplier service level commitments, both in terms of on-time deliveries as well as service quality.Delivering savings by identifying and driving cost savings projects and initiatives.Providing accurate cost forecasts and understanding key market trends.Linking knowledge of current market trends with supplier portfolios to identify opportunities for marketplace advantages and generate new ideas for gaining competitive advantages.Establishing, developing and maintaining supplier relationships to ultimately create value for the organization.Representing procurement on cross-functional project teams.The Ideal Candidate Will: Have a continuous improvement mindset (savings, optimization, workflow).Develop collaborative cross-functional relationships to understand internal business needs and possess strong interpersonal relationship skills.Learn and apply the TDC sourcing process.Have coaching and mentoring skills.Have relevant experience/knowledge with Warehousing operations and contracts.Have experience in working within multi-cultural teams.Have higher education, preferably in Business and/or Logistics or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently.Possess successful experience negotiating with large multinational suppliers.Be able to adjust to changing variables in the workplace.Maintain composure and deliver results under pressure.Generate innovative ideas and original solutions.Operate proactively, anticipating possible problems, opportunities, and challenges.Possess excellent communication & presentation skills.Have strong analytical skills including the ability to distil, synthesize, and draw conclusions from large data sets.Preferably have experience with relevant IT systems (SAP, GEP, Power BI).Be fluent in written and spoken English.Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:
