About the role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team and mission for a net-zero emissions world. The Senior Project Engineer will have technical oversight during the entire project lifecycle, supporting Project and Corporate Development Managers, Transaction Managers, and Project Managers by integrating site assessment studies, layout designs, managing bids/pricing for the project financing and construction process. They assist with managing technical third-party contract work for the project (Owner's Engineers, Technical Advisors, Asset Managers, Consultants). When the project achieves Financial Close and transitions into construction, the Senior Project Engineer continues with the project, assisting the Project Manager. Once the project gets into Operation, the Senior Project Engineer may provide support to the Asset Management team.
Main accountabilities: Technical lead of projects at all stages of the project, from origination, to development, procurement and financing, construction and operation.Technical lead during development, performing feasibility studies, as well interacting with our development partners across multiple geographies, reviewing their deliverables (layouts, single line diagrams, energy yield assessment, interconnection agreements, environmental assessments), providing guidance on the technical characteristics of solar and storage projects, in coordination with the CERO Project Development team.Technical lead during due diligence for acquisition or divestment of projects and financial close processes interacting with external technical advisors, sellers, or buyers.Technical lead in procurement phase in coordination with CERO Procurement Manager: definition of technical specifications for EPC and HV contractors and key suppliers. Technical evaluation of contractor's proposals. Technical negotiation with suppliers and contractors: technical specifications, deliverables, standards, schedule of design documents, performance guarantees, etc.
