Overall Responsibility of the RoleThe Safeguarding team coordinates all safeguarding framework and reporting matters on behalf of the Ebury group, including but not limited to multi-jurisdictional safeguarding, trade repository reporting (forwards and swaps), and transaction reporting.
The role is to provide guidance and oversight specifically on the CASS MIFID entity.
Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal review of safeguarding obligations for the Investment firm with a strong focus on CASS infrastructure, requiring Rules to Gap mapping and control assessments.Policy design and review as the business grows for new products and processes ensuring this meets all CASS requirements.Process design and implementation.Assisting with audit delivery and remediation.Review of existing processes and procedural enhancements.Breach control and incident review and remediation.Work with various stakeholders across the business to effect change (Tech, Operations, Finance, Compliance).Conduct risk assessments and establish appropriate risk-based controls including design of regular management information and metrics.Act as a single point of contact for CASS matters and provide assistance to the business in the resolution of regulatory breaches.Lead training and maintain a culture of operational compliance.Key Requirements5 years of working experience in client money safeguarding under CASS, E-money, ASIC.Experience with MiFID and EMIR reporting is advantageous.Understanding of the Investment industry and upcoming changes in the industry.Understanding of the Payments industry, particularly the regulatory requirements of operating within this business line.Experience of building relationships with Regulators, auditors, and various internal stakeholders.International experience will be of interest although not essential and/or languages.Successful people management and project management skills.Strong communication skills are very important; this role will require communication across different levels, from junior to senior management.
