Overview: IE IMPACT is a multi-school, multi-bachelor academic program, totaling 21 ECTS, required of all IEU undergraduate students. Consisting of courses in the Humanities , Technology , and Entrepreneurship , IE IMPACT reinforces these three foundational pillars of IE University, centering Diversity and Sustainability throughout the entire learning journey. The learning journey culminates with the IE Impact program, which brings students from all IEU schools and bachelor programs together in classes to enhance their learning experience and foster community. The IE Impact academic learning journey is a feat of academic excellence at scale, aimed at preparing IEU students to lead positive change.
The Associate Director of IE Impact for Academic Innovation will report to the Executive Director of IE Impact. The role will primarily focus on innovating the design, delivery, and evaluation of the IE Impact courses. We seek an energetic professional who is eager to reinvent or adapt how we can achieve learning outcomes in dynamic, effective, and scalable ways.
Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities:
Stay abreast of key and relevant trends and emerging innovations in higher education and support the process of dissemination among the relevant stakeholders.
Support the Executive Director of the IE Impact and Academic Directors of the four courses in the design, delivery, and evaluation of the curriculum.
Support IE Impact Faculty who teach the four courses and the various course options related to each.
Identify opportunities for curriculum innovation within the courses of the IE Impact Learning Journey.
Lead and/or collaborate with other relevant stakeholders in the redesign or adaptation of existing course offerings.
Oversee and ensure compliance with the accreditation requirements as per study plans approved by the relevant authority.
Engage and influence cross-functional teams to drive academic innovation and continuous improvement of academic excellence.
Coordinate, collaborate, and engage with academic directors, program staff, school deans, and academic faculty.
Identify training or learning needs among faculty and coordinate, arrange, or impart training directly.
Design job aids and resources to support faculty (and staff) training and support.
Network with internal and external stakeholders related to learning innovation.
Analyze, design, and coordinate strategic projects to innovate in learning methodologies, program formats, content, and edtech tools and technologies.
Carry out other related functions within the definition and implementation of learning innovation.
Support the IE Impact program and team in overall planning and execution.
Qualifications: Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience.
Master's degree from a top university or education and experience relevant for the position.
Polished written and oral communication skills in English to address a wide variety of audiences.
Training and/or experience (preferably academic/masters) in education, learning innovation, instructional design, and/or edtech and technology.
Working proficiency in Spanish.
