The Hangar Sup role includes: Responsible for the control and standards of performance of the maintenance department.Responsible for the day-to-day administrative disciplines of the engineering team.Oversee the work on both aircraft and in the support departments.Endeavour to improve the efficiency of the staff under their control and to implement effective measures to reduce man-hour costs.Ensure that the stores procedures are adhered to, providing timely and approved spares for support of the maintenance activity.Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hangar.Control of the aircraft spares shortage list and the authorization of orders being placed for high-cost spare parts.Actively take part in aircraft maintenance duties or conduct certifying and support staff activities (if applicable) within the scope of their approval as required and directed by the Base Maintenance Manager.Control of working time and overtime for the engineering team.Audit of Hangar and Facilities in accordance with Company Procedures.Meet weekly with Management and provide a detailed weekly report.Allocate engineering staff to cover maintenance services activities in out-of-hours circumstances to contracted customers.Assist with planning scheduled maintenance.Promote SMS principles in the hangar.Arrange and manage aircraft Pre-Check input meetings to ensure that there are adequate resources available to meet the customer's requirements, and to keep the Base Maintenance Manager fully informed especially if there are any shortfalls.Ensure that the aircraft documentation is completed in accordance with the company procedures.Control and discipline of the staff.Ensure that the staff adhere to their contracted working hours and start times.Maintain a high standard of appearance of their staff, premises, vehicles, and equipment.Assist with the training and development of the staff.Ensure all work carried out by staff under their supervision complies with the Regulatory Authority and Company Procedures in force at the time of the work carried out.Ensure all documentation is completed correctly before the work day/shift ends and a detailed handover of any work in progress is completed.Respond to Quality deficiencies in the area of activity for which they are responsible, which arise from independent quality audits.Ensure that Tooling and Ground Support equipment is controlled and maintained to a serviceable condition.Ensure, through the workforce under his/her control, that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to the standard acceptable to the organization and EASA.Provide support and assistance to the Check Supervisors in ensuring that a high standard of control and standard of workmanship is achieved.Carry out any other tasks as reasonably required by the Base Maintenance Manager.Requirements: Must be an EASA Part 66 qualified B1 License holder as a minimum or Aeronautical Engineering Degree.Must hold a Type rated Aircraft Engineer position or equivalent level within another organization or Aeronautical Engineering Degree.B737-800 type rating will be a plus.8 - 10 years' experience, preferably hangar based.Must have supervisory experience.Benefits: Competitive salary; possibility of paid breaks in the summer months and December.
