AECOM Spain MEP team is a highly qualified group of professionals experts in offering the best solutions to international client's needs all around the world.
Our building services engineers are at the forefront of their discipline for the design of the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems required for the safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of buildings. We embrace world class methodologies and technologies, including information rich Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to facilitate more efficient ways of working and design at all stages of the project life-cycle.
Our team, as part of the continued growth of our business, is looking for a Fire Protection Engineer to support the plan, and who is looking to further develop their experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects. These projects span a diverse range of construction sectors including among others, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Aviation, Commercial and Defense. Working within a dynamic, highly motivated and driven team, you will be part of our project delivery, mentor our junior staff and develop our future engineers.
As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be expected to:
Design of fire detection, fire suppression and emergency signaling systems equipment and procedures in accordance with all applicable governing Codes and Standards and industry best practices.
Creation of fire detection and emergency signaling system design and layout plans, schematics, equipment specifications, supporting design calculations, system narratives, and construction specifications.
Creation of fire suppression system design criteria, specifications and layouts, preliminary hydraulic calculations, fire pump selection specifications, and fire detection system integration.
Creation of special hazard fire protection designs, including but not limited to aspirating and beam-type smoke detection, video imaging detection, flame detection, suppression system monitoring and control and smoke control system integration.
Creation of integration designs between life safety and building services systems as required to comply with all applicable codes, standards and system operating objectives, including but not limited to information technology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
