The Position
As a Tools & Vendors Solution Manager for Digital Product Enablement of IT Foundational Domain,
you will manage the tool requests from the various engineering teams (Cloud and Edge Infrastructure, Data Analytics, Connectivity, CODE, RIS Common Tooling users…) and drive the tool selection process, the needed compliance assessments together with IT and QA, the potential agreements together with Procurement and Legal departments, the pricing negotiation with different vendors and Roche FinOps, the PO creation, the tool reception and the records storage of all the previous steps within the proper platforms.
You define and update development toolchains as a part of CI/CD pipelines supporting IT teams as well as product teams in both validated and non-validated environments and together with IT and Business quality compliance approaches.
You build a service offering for selected software tools and tool consultancy by ensuring the proper handling of user management, training, documentation and communication to stakeholders, by managing according to compliance and security standards and creating OKRs for software tooling.
In addition, you will:
Provide each tool as a self-service, frictionless and easy to consume service supporting the multi-tenancy needs of the Digital Platform.Set up KPI and track operational metrics of usage, licenses and availability.Be accountable for maintenance and support according to operational procedures (e.g qualification), including periodic compliance checks.Manage overall tools costs and identify chargeback models.Actively manage the vendors (MSA, SOW, POs, Support contracts, capacity and licenses) and tools lifecycle and governance.Proactively feed Roche Tools and Licenses Management Tool (TLMS), Confluence and webpages. You have a university degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or other related fields. Experience working in a multicultural environment and proven cultural awareness. Experience in the diagnostics and pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated industries like finance or insurance seen as highly advantageous.
Furthermore, you bring:
Experience in managing vendors.Good understanding of cloud technologies, CI/CD, DevSecOps tooling is preferred.Strong customer and service management focus.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Strong focus on pragmatism while attention to detail and process.Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional teamwork.Understanding of software automation, programming language is preferred. Qualifications
5+ years experience in a customer-facing role within a service organization.
5+ years of technical experience in IT organizations.
