Vx363 Lead Database Administrator

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator with experience with Linux and DevOps tools and methodologies.
You will join our Life Sciences Database Administration team in Barcelona.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team that works on a wide range of technologies.
The team consists of 7 people across 3 different timezones, is growing by 2 people in the near future, and is reporting to the Database Director.About You - Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments7+ years of experience managing Oracle or Postgres databases, as well as Linux operating systems.
Other DB engines like SQL Server or MySQL are a plus.Cassandra is a plus.Good English communication skills.Good analytic skills for DB performance tuning.Basic skills on infrastructure: familiar with basic networking concepts and storage management at OS level (Linux).It Would Be Great If You Also Had...Experience working in AWS or any other cloud.Experience with DevOps and automation tools and basic knowledge about DevOps processes.What Will You Be Doing in This Role?Assisting with new deployments and onboarding legacy databases to our team.Providing expertise to new projects to define the best technologies and approaches from the DBA perspective.Assisting to resolve day-to-day incidents with our assets.Hours of WorkFull-time permanent position.
