We are a SaaS company developing a fare collection platform that allows people to buy and present tickets for public transit on their mobile phones or by tapping a bank card or smart card to travel.We believe a new fare payments system allowing passengers to tap and ride without needing to buy a ticket or understand fares should be available to every passenger and every transit agency around the globe, without prohibitive costs or taking years to deliver, helping people move seamlessly from A to B.Join us on this exciting ride as we build the transit technology ecosystem of tomorrow.*The Role: *Reporting to the Head of Global Sales, the VP of Business Development EMEA will be responsible for driving revenues in Masabi's largest target growth market through a mixture of direct sales, integrators and channel partners. Applicants should be comfortable driving an opportunity hands-on as well as inspiring/coordinating a team to achieve their targets. The role requires a blend of thoughtful market planning, dynamic interpersonal skills and ambitious thinking.*Location: *This role is available in Spain in a fully remote model.*Some of your responsibilities: **Managing of a team of senior Business Development reps to work independently; supporting them in making decisions to succeed- Leading opportunities direct with prospective customers in your own selling territory- Consistent revenue reporting, forecasting and planning ensuring there is a plan for attainment of short-term goals and strategies are developed for long-term growth- Driving initiatives with the team that open new segments of the markets we already operate in and improve our bid and win rates- Developing a collaborative relationship with Product to ensure the needs of our target markets are being met while exploring opportunities for future market potential together- Working with the Partnerships org to build mutually beneficial relationships for customers large and small- Thought leadership - working with consultants to shape market thinking, and speaking at events as 'the face' of Masabi in your selling territory- Working with the Sales Enablement teams on improvements to internal processes and playbooks and ensuring Masabi's sales methodology is followed and leveraged*About you: **Have a proven track record of owning a market you will be data-driven; setting, reporting against and meeting both personal and team sales targets- Thoughtful and deliberate about how to go after a market you know there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach and are constantly looking at setting initiatives and measuring the results of their success- Have a track record of people management that shows you know how to motivate a team to high performance- Experience working with a transportation technology product, preferably one delivered through a SaaS model- Product savvy, comfortable not only demo-ing a product but providing market insight to support future platform developments- Know how to sell into the government sector and can speak fluently about the benefits of as-a-service technology.
