2nd Assistant – Offshore Construction Projects Worldwide
We are looking for a 2nd Assistant to support offshore projects worldwide on SAIPEM.

Mission Coordinate activities with construction crews, ensuring efficient performance while adhering to HSE and Quality procedures.Assume responsibility during assigned shifts under the direction of the Offshore Construction Manager (or independently if no 1st Assistant is assigned). Key Responsibilities Assist the 1st Assistant or Offshore Construction Manager in interdisciplinary coordination.Supervise construction crews, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.Communicate potential issues and project updates to supervisors.Liaise with team members (e.g., Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer, subcontractors) for effective coordination.Ensure compliance with the Permit-to-Work system and conduct daily Tool Box Talks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).Motivate crews to maintain high health, safety, and environmental standards.Report incidents, near-misses, and provide detailed shift construction reports.Assist in monitoring project equipment, consumables, and ensure proper use of rigging gear. Requirements Technical High School Diploma or background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Naval Engineering.Fluent in English (written and spoken).2-3 years of offshore experience in the Oil & Gas industry.Previous roles such as Junior Barge Foreman, Deck Foreman, or Welder Foreman preferred.
