About this role : iShares & Wealth EMEA is the distribution business providing cross-border solutions to intermediaries who serve the full spectrum of privately-owned Wealth, but also to Asset Managers and Asset Owners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Our clients are predominantly institutional investors like pension funds, global and multi-national banks, wealth managers and insurers. Product proposition comprises a broad range of both actively managed and index pooled investment vehicles.
As a Vice President on the iShares & Wealth Iberia team, you will work as part of a team of client-facing relationship management professionals with a deep understanding of industry trends, client needs, and BlackRock's capabilities across investment management, risk, and advisory. You will be a key point of contact for external clients and will work across various internal partner teams with the goal of delivering the firm to the Wealth and Asset Manager client segment in Spain and across all segments in Portugal.
The main responsibilities for this role are two pronged; proactive widening and deepening of client relationships to become a trusted partner whilst increasing share of wallet:
Contribute to the sales coverage across all segments and strategy development in Portugal, and Wealth clients and Asset Managers in Spain.
Develop strong knowledge about the BlackRock product range and solutions.
Contribute to the delivery of annual target of net new assets and revenues, generated from existing and new clients.
Identify new opportunities for existing clients.
Think creatively about and develop new usages for ETFs, Index Mutual Funds and active strategies like alternative products.
Consistently provide local market intelligence to help guide new product development initiatives and current product enhancement efforts.
Ensure that all regulatory and legal requirements and standards are met personally and within the team.
Leverage the organization to effectively and efficiently support our clients' requests.
Knowledge/Experience : We are seeking a thoughtful and persuasive salesperson with an inherent ability to partner with people from different cultures and build long-term business relationships.
A proven and robust track record of raising assets and owning relationships with Wealth clients.
Solid know-how about Fund's business, products and financial markets including deep insights into the business models, needs and wants of regional asset managers and their business drivers from operational and regulatory as well as investment management perspectives.
Innovative oriented thinking person to position financial market instruments.
Drives execution - quickly removes roadblocks; translates strategy into specific goals, tactics, action plans, and output to deliver complex client engagements.
Ability to shape, drive and conduct existing and new business in Portugal.
Skills/Qualifications :
Deep and proven client engagement and sales skills.
Highly motivated self-starter with strong ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate and communicate at executive level - both internally and with clients.
Ability to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and experience of delivering at a strategic level.
Impeccable character with high ethical and quality standards, gravitas, diplomacy, and drive.
Strong client service mindset with strong judgement, consulting, negotiating and influencing skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Native in Portuguese and fluency in Spanish and English is a must (written and spoken).
