Job Title: Vendor Manager - Airport ITSummary: Amadeus Airport and Airline Operations (AAO) provides our Airport customers with innovative cloud-based technology and hardware, pioneering operational efficiencies for the benefit of airport authorities, airlines, and ultimately a better passenger experience. The Vendor Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple categories, managing and improving the existing supplier performance across our product portfolio, and seeking new suppliers. This role has a particular focus on Partnerships within Purchasing. You will identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that support strategic business deliverables.You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and manage partnerships that align with AAO goals. Your duties include negotiating agreements, managing relationships, and ensuring partnership activities deliver results. In this role, you will actively seek new partnership opportunities but importantly, nurture existing ones. The Vendor Manager will have a comprehensive understanding of the industry and use it to recommend best practices, ensure improvements, and influence the strategic direction of the department. You will support the implementation of the procurement strategy.Key Responsibilities:Work with the Airline Operations partnership team to create a streamlined Partnership Governance program in AAO, and jointly implement the AAO Partnership strategy as defined by Product Management and Strategy.Develop and implement effective partnership strategies.Maintain successful relationships with key partners.Monitor and report on partnership performance.Negotiate agreements and contracts.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align partnerships with business goals.Ensure the program remains aligned to the Partner Governance Board direction.Manage communication plan defined in the governance structure.Responsible for guiding procurement bidding processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiations across different departments.Coordinate with all stakeholders pre and post-award vendor selection functions for procurement involving contracts for supplies, equipment, services, and projects.Identify savings and cost avoidance opportunities such as volume and vendor consolidation opportunities, and best-in-class purchasing/contracting practices.Active participation to ensure that cooperative negotiation with suppliers takes place, and information and best practices are openly shared.Provide support to stakeholders' needs in terms of reporting on vendor performance, spend analysis, and contract information.Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to relevant solicitors on contract and sourcing activities to support internal departments and meet targets.Develop key vendor/partner relationships to ensure Amadeus benefits from competitive pricing and cooperative relations from reputable suppliers and supplier networks.Manage vendor performance including Compliance, Risk reviews and mitigations, Pricing agreements and Escalation.Maintain and expand reporting to key stakeholders.Negotiate contracts and prices to secure business competitiveness.The Ideal Candidate:Experience in a role within a Procurement function in a large, complex organization.Effective stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Proactivity, and strong initiative, autonomy.Self-directed information gathering.Good cultural fit with the dynamics of a dynamic high technology and growing company.High level of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint.Fluent in English.What We Can Offer You:A complete rewards offer - Amadeus provides attractive remuneration packages, covering all essential components of a competitive reward offer, including bonus, equity, pension plan, travel, life and healthcare insurance, as well as lunch and transport allowance and other benefits.A truly global DNA - Everything at Amadeus is global, from our people to our business, which translates into our footprint, processes, and culture.Great opportunities to learn - Learning happens all the time and in many ways at Amadeus, through on-the-job training, formal learning activities, and day-to-day interactions with colleagues.A caring environment - Amadeus fosters a caring environment, nurturing both a fulfilling career and personal and family life.
