Come join our rocket ship!About the Engineering TeamAs a SecOps Engineer you will:Be responsible for supporting the security and processes across production and non-production environments and creating innovative security solutions.Work with our compliance team during audits to help automate and collect evidence.Build and support the compliance needs of our product and customers.Implement and monitor security measures on computer systems, networks, and information.Create and maintain standard security operating procedures and protocols.Develop technical solutions with security tools and processes to help mitigate security vulnerabilities along with automating repeatable tasks.Deploy security software and updates as needed to secure and protect networks.Monitor networks and systems for intrusions.Update policies that ensure all systems follow regulatory security standards and compliance.Troubleshoot and investigate security incidents and determine the root cause.Run internal penetration testing quarterly for all products and systems.Review and research system and component level alerts and provide remediations as necessary.Review code and suggest best practices for a better Application security.Spread culture of Zero Trust and Secure by default across our Engineering team.This role is perfect if you have:Three (3)+ years of relevant experience.Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer, Pentester, or Information Security Engineer.Software development and scripting skills.Experience in building and maintaining security systems with a high degree of automation.Hands-on experience in firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, WAFs, content filtering, Web, APIs, etc.Experience with network security and networking technologies.Experience in Information Gathering (Footprinting, Scanning and Enumeration).Technical knowledge of Databases and Linux operating system security.Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Strong background with the system, security, and network analysis and monitoring tools.Familiarity with various compliance such as SOC 2, GDPR among others.Exposure to highly regulated industries.Experience working with cloud services.Bonus Points if you have:Experience managing and mentoring a team.Extensive knowledge of AWS.Previous experience working with SaaS solutions.Experience of working in a Blue team.Preferred certifications:CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional.CISM: Certified Information Security Manager.CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker.CompTIA Security+.DSOE: DevSecOps Engineering.OSCP: Offensive Security Certified Professional.We offer:Competitive compensation based on experience.20+ paid vacation days per year.Flexible work hours, and remote-friendly culture.Excellent benefits, including private health insurance, Calm & Blinkist subscriptions, language courses, and more to come.We have fun together, with amazing quarterly off-sites, laidback pizza nights, just to name a few.Fast career growth and opportunities at a truly welcoming, multicultural company.This role is remote: Relocation support.Our values:Customer Obsession: We share the understanding that Abacum's sole purpose is to create value for customers and relentlessly deploy all creativity and energy to that end.Audacious Ambition: We dream big and embrace discomfort.
