Offer Description The group of Dr. José Carlos Fernández Ferro of the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Fundación Jiménez Díaz is looking for candidates for a postdoctoral researcher contract (5.5 months), linked to the file JPND2020-568-025 & AC20/00077 granted in the "Convocatoria de ayudas Joint Programming Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) and Proyectos de programación conjunta internacional del ISCIII".
The candidate will join the BioClotAD research project whose main objective is to develop a new non-invasive imaging biomarker to identify the procoagulant state in Alzheimer's disease.
This project is part of a consortium formed by different European groups, experts in neuroscience, biochemistry, preclinical imaging, radiochemistry and translational approaches, which will use molecular biology techniques and the latest molecular imaging technology to develop an imaging probe suitable for detecting increased thrombosis in Alzheimer's disease.
Different animal models, as well as advanced imaging techniques such as positron emission tomography, will be used in the facilities of the Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructures and in collaboration with the National Center for Cardiovascular Research.
The postdoctoral researcher will be hired on a full-time basis for the duration of the funding associated with the project for his/her recruitment, and his/her duties will include: Coordinate, together with the research team, the part of the project to be carried out at the IIS-FJD.
Participate in the management of the project and experiments, and in the analysis of results.
Be part of the communications with the rest of the national and international collaborators of the project, ensuring that all the proposed objectives are carried out efficiently.
Requirements Research Field: Neurosciences » Other Education Level: PhD or equivalent Skills/Qualifications: To have obtained a PhD degree in the area of Neuroscience or related sciences within the 10 years prior to the date of publication of this announcement.
Experience and knowledge of advanced imaging and molecular imaging techniques, especially neuroimaging (brain MRI and Positron Emission Tomography).
It will be valued according to the number of years or fraction thereof and according to the number of demonstrable merits in the field (authorship of articles, lectures, attendance to courses, etc.).
Experience and expertise in neuroimaging processing and analysis.
Experience and knowledge in the area of management and coordination of projects, laboratories and/or teams.

Possession of advanced level of English.
