Position Overview
The University Hospital Vall d'Hebron is highly specialized in rare diseases on a regional, national, and international level with its recent incorporation as a full member of 20 of the 24 European Reference Networks (ERN). ERNs are networks involving healthcare providers across Europe, officially launched by the European Commission in 2017, aiming to tackle rare diseases and conditions that require highly specialized treatment and concentrated knowledge and resources. The ERN-EuroBloodNet coordination is based at three main hubs: St. Louis Hospital (Paris), ERASME Hospital (Brussels), and Vall d'Hebron University Hospital - Vall d'Hebron - Institut de Recerca (Barcelona).
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, and committed Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who will take responsibility for the evaluation and monitoring of the work of the ERN-EuroBloodNet, helping us to improve outcomes, impact as well as internal and external visibility.
Education and Qualifications
Required:
A University degree in a relevant discipline such as research methods, statistics, political studies, or a related area.
Fluent (spoken and written) English.
Desired: French is a plus.
Experience and Knowledge
Required: 2-3 years of relevant work experience in monitoring and evaluation.
Experience in designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methodologies.
Experience in data management and data analysis, and ability to translate data into readable graphs, presentations, reports.
Strong IT skills, Project management software, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent research, writing, analytical, verbal skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of European Project Management would be a plus.
Ability to work effectively with a dynamic team and to work independently (working remotely 2/3 days a week is not a problem for you).
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Main Responsibilities and Duties: Design and deploy a variety of methods and tools to collect, analyze, and report on qualitative and quantitative data to assess the impact of the actions undertaken by the ERN-EuroBloodNet. Improve and implement the Network's evaluation plan.
Collect internal and external indicators related to the different activities undertaken by the ERN-EuroBloodNet and prepare reports.
