Test Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: Conducting subsystem and system of systems testingWorking in an Agile environment with engineers across the program to verify our deliveries to the NavyAnalyzing how our software meets system, functional and performance requirementsInstalling test bays and troubleshooting anomaliesCommunicating and proactively resolving issues with engineers from other subsystems to determine where issues lie and how we can address them as a project teamInvestigate test failures and determine root-causeWrite clear and concise bug reports, verify bug fixes (validation/verification)Mentor junior test engineersDetermine and report metrics for testing and relay results to stakeholdersSupport all tasking assigned by the Test LeadExperience and capabilities: Must have US Navy Submarine Fire Control Technician experienceFormal testing experience on a DoD production delivery environmentExperience working proactively with local and remote test team membersSolid verbal and written communications skills using Microsoft Office productsExperience with testing in an Agile development environmentAbility to travel (domestic only)Knowledge of requirements management and system modeling toolsWorking knowledge of test engineering concepts, principles, and theoriesExperience working in the SWFTS submarine communityCommunication among your peers and up the chainRecognition of relevant information, and clear communication of issues and alternatives
