About the Role As a Technical Release Manager, you will be working on the release cycle for applications powering the Nespresso Digital Commerce business. You will work in a direct-to-customer context with significant volumes and traffic and a very rich feature offering, being part of a large development organization with direct impact to the online business.
As a Technical Release Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the release process of our eCommerce applications, ensuring coordination between all the delivery teams and smooth and efficient deployment from integration to production environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the release cycle and improve the overall quality of our eCommerce applications.
What You'll Bring Coordinate the end-to-end release lifecycle for our eCommerce applications, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking releases. Create and manage release schedules, including major releases, patches, and hotfixes, to align with the business and operational needs of our eCommerce platform. Identify and manage risks related to releases, ensuring minimal disruption to the eCommerce platform, and proactively addressing potential issues. Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand release requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases. Collaborate with DevOps engineers to implement and maintain release automation tools and processes necessary for continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring. Monitor and troubleshoot release-related issues, working closely with the development and DevOps teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions. Regular alignments with Operations Release Management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of the eCommerce release processes, configurations, and changes for reference and audit purposes. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in release management and DevOps. Who You Are Effectively communicates in English and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Release Engineer, DevOps engineer, or similar role, for a minimum of 3 years. Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA); understanding of software quality analysis tools, such as SonarQube, and security scan reports. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Bonus Points If You: Are passionate about technology and software development and can bridge technical and non-technical populations in a large organization. Have experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams. Deep understanding of eCommerce systems, technical stacks, and associated technologies to ensure smooth releases without compromising system integrity or user experience. Proven experience in using release automation tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
