.We are looking for a talented tax/transaction attorney with experience to support our Firm's work on international tax, M&A, and strategic investments. You will be part of a legal and financial consultancy team that advises the Business team on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments, and transactions worldwide. In this role, you will serve as a tax advisor responsible for coordinating tax advice from external international top-tier providers counseling various businesses on structuring, negotiating, and consummating a broad range of M&A and investment transactions. The role also requires reconciling the advice internally with the accountancy department and will work closely as part of the Financial department under the supervision of a Financial Controller. Duties include identifying tax elements of the transaction, engaging outside counsel, reviewing the advice and identifying risks, preparing and reviewing loan agreements, and assisting the accounting team to book the correct entries for each transaction. The role will also require participation in overseeing due diligence, working collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams, and hiring and managing outside counsel. Our offices are located in Marbella, Spain, and work is related to our internationally based clients, so no Spanish tax experience is necessary but rather international tax experience. In addition to the above, candidates must have ample experience in reporting and preparing PPT reports for management and demonstrate knowledge of Financial Accounting Statements & principles. The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about tax and accounting, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment in a conservative manner. Basic Qualifications Strong academic credentials including a degree in Tax and admitted to practice in the UK, or any other English-speaking jurisdiction. Must be in good standing. Experience as a tax advisor on M&A transactions and international companies. Knowledge of the basic principles of Corporate Finance and transaction KPIs. At least 2+ years of experience in a big 4. A team player who can effectively work with other attorneys and corporate finance teams. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly and simply explain complex ideas. Sound and practical business judgment, as well as common sense and a good sense of humor. English must be your first language or have exceptional English skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with M&A preferred. Admitted to practice in the UK or an English-speaking jurisdiction.
