About The Role
Join the Auctane Legal Department, a collaborative group of legal professionals managing the legal work for Metapack, Packlink, ShipStation, ShipEngine, Stamps.Com, ShippingEasy, Endicia, GlobalPost, ShipWorks, and Return Rabbit. We're looking for a Corporate Counsel Europe, based in Madrid, responsible for administering contracts, delivering legal advice to the Auctane business units in Europe, and supporting Auctane's legal and regulatory policies. The role will be a key contributor and will report to the General Counsel Europe.
What will you be doing?
As a Corporate Counsel Europe, you will be undertaking the following tasks:
Administer commercial contracts and legal agreements.Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, SaaS agreements, software and API license agreements, customer agreements, IT agreements, technology agreements, leases, non-disclosure agreements, consulting/contractor agreements, vendor and procurement agreements with minimal oversight.Review, draft, and update online service terms, legal disclosures, and privacy policies.Deliver legal advice, guidance, and solutions to business units.Evaluate issues and provide legal advice and practical solutions to support executives and professionals in the business units, including in the marketing, sales, business development, finance, IT, and product teams.Assist with legal analysis, conduct research, and collaborate with external counsel on legal matters related to commercial contracts, internet and website disclosure, marketing, industry oversight and regulation, international and cross-border regulation, and general litigation.Support company corporate compliance, administrative, legal, and regulatory policies.Conduct research and analysis regarding regulatory laws and industry best practices applicable to the business units.Review and analyze notices from external parties and filings with corporate compliance regulatory agencies, including coordination with multiple office locations.Collaborate to manage and improve forms, templates, and procedures.Implement procedures and workflow related to company legal and regulatory policies.Perform additional duties as assigned from time to time.
