From the latest adaptive lighting technologies to intuitive interior lighting solutions or stylish and design-centric external lighting, Valeo constantly innovates to improve comfort and safety for drivers and passengers alike.As a T&V and Functional Validation Department Manager in Valeo Martos, you will be designing cutting-edge electronics for top car makers in the world, working in a fast-paced, international, and multicultural environment.Your mission will be:Hierarchically manage your group of engineers/technicians in a given Engineering discipline, ensuring the right level of capabilities, competencies, and expertise.Responsible for deploying and implementing the "state of the art" standards, processes, methods & tools in your department.Participate in the improvement of the standards, processes, methods & tools in your Engineering discipline in relation to your Engineering discipline network, especially the Engineering discipline manager/director.Check/audit the implementation of the standards (RAISE).Your responsibilities will be:Management & CompetencyManage your organization and team of engineers and technicians (yearly reviews, meetings, missions, objectives).Define the necessary qualifications for your team according to the benchmark and technical and technological evolutions.Ensure that competency levels are sufficient to handle new/future projects and technologies (in line with TDP).
Identify gaps, define, and implement the proper action plan.Allocate staff to various projects and support project team in priorities management.Propose training and career evolutions.Responsible for recruitment of department members.Participate in the Valeo Expertise process by preparing and proposing candidates.BudgetResponsible for department budget; build, propose and follow your budget.Participate in project budget construction.Propose yearly investment plan.Responsible for department efficiency using the Efficiency Plan built with the Engineering discipline Manager/Director.Process, Methodology, Tools, EquipmentEnsure equivalence between results of different equipment.Participate in the definition of and implement processes, methods, and tools necessary to handle new/future projects and technologies (in line with TDP).Deploy the Engineering process, methodology, and tools defined by/together with the Engineering discipline Manager/Director.Ensure full deployment of 5 axes methodology.Support the Certification process (CMMi, …) if applicable.NetworkingParticipate in and support the network of your Engineering discipline.Participate in the improvement of the standards, methods & tools of your Engineering discipline.Standardization & Robust DesignSupport RAISE team by ensuring knowledge, training, and implementation of the standards.Participate in the elaboration of standards with RAISE and actively participate in Design reviews.Review and challenge Destandardization requests before release.Ensure that each design achieves the highest level of Robust design.Resources / FootprintCentralize information on all existing resources.Identify, create synergies, and ensure optimum use of all resources.Identify needs in terms of dedicated and shared resources.
