.This position can be based in either Milan (LIN11), London (LHR35) or Madrid (MAD15). The EU Air Ground Operations Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to manage our 3P Air ground operations, contributing to delivery experience and speed.The Air Gateway Manager, Air Operations will be responsible for managing third-party Ground handling agents, identifying, designing, developing, and executing new processes, goals, and solutions that increase delivery efficiency, reduce errors, decrease costs, and improve the Air ground operations.This position will require strong communication with managers, peers, and team members, both within their immediate department, as well as with other departments and business partners to drive effective solutions to complex challenges. The Air Gateway Manager should hold excellent interpersonal skills and be able to articulate program recommendations, balance tradeoffs, drive consensus, and gain support by utilizing excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication.Successful candidates will have the following skills/experience:Problem-solving skills and ability to use analytical tools is required, while analytic experience in the areas of transportation, flight, and ground operations.Must be highly proficient in written and oral communications and be able to produce concise, relevant, strategically driven documents and presentations to leaders.Must have an ability to manage and execute multiple priorities in a timely manner across multiple projects.Must demonstrate the ability to influence internal and external organizations to achieve corporate goals, including the ability to influence and manage upward as necessary.Key job responsibilities:Manage day-to-day relationships with 3P partners.Ensure the 3P management, in terms of operation performance, quality, security, and customer satisfaction.Optimize capacity in a consistent way looking for innovative solutions.Build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with 3P partners to balance labor.Monitor the ramp handling process performance (if applicable).Proactively monitor all operational activity to identify, address, and prevent potential disruptions. Problem-solve for closing gaps between performance and goals.Collaborate with ACES/Quality teams to develop, manage, and grow the Air operations quality management and continuous improvement programs.Generate and understand performance metrics to drive business results.Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and lean tools.Partner with internal business partners including air carrier management, safety, security, technology, legal, and training.Communicate effectively with both external (Service Providers) and internal (Safety, Finance, Technology, Legal, HR) customers
