The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed of an interdisciplinary, motivated, and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.
The Systems Architect will be responsible for the correct management of the IT systems hardware, software, and cloud resources, and for defining, in coordination with the IT Manager, the list of IT Infrastructure services provided to the community and its corresponding Service Level Agreement, coordinating and supervising the hardware, software, and cloud service installation/configuration, maintenance, operation, and monitoring, in terms of high service quality, efficiency, and cost-saving.
He/she will work in collaboration with the Head of IT to design and maintain the IT architecture in place in the CRG and to maintain the cybersecurity of the CRG.
He/she will supervise the systems administration teams to coordinate the tasks and keep the right operation of the equipment, software, and services.

The department is divided into 3 areas: the Helpdesk team - responsible for the direct support to the user, the Systems Administration team - in charge of administrating all the IT systems, and the Web team - responsible for the web development and support.
