The Team Leader of the EMEA Sustainability Reporting team is tasked with leading and managing a team of sustainability practitioners responsible for overseeing the full reporting life cycle and ensuring the successful completion of services across the EMEA region.
The individual should have hands-on experience in the commercial real estate sector - and across several areas of sustainability including a strong focus on climate and general ESG frameworks. Familiarity with digital solutions/software for sustainability management, experience in leading senior level client relationships and people management experience are expected.
What you will do: Lead and manage a team of analysts and senior analysts setting its strategic direction and promoting best practices in ESG reportingDevelop and implement quality assurance processes, tools, and methodologies to improve project delivery and efficiencyProvide leadership and direction to analysts and senior analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and high performanceFacilitate and influence decision-making from senior managementManage risks and issues, implementing mitigation measures when necessaryLead an EU-based team of sustainability professionals to effectively manage and deliver to client service solutions including:GHG footprint reporting solutions within our software and outside of it when necessaryAdvising and developing reporting practices aligned with existing and emerging standards, such as GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark), Science-Based Targets (SBTs), CSRD, and other science-aligned or context-driven abatement frameworksDevelop and lead program management of varying implementation initiatives as part of clients' journeys including resource efficiency, renewables and the use of environmental commoditiesExperience and innovation around scope 3 / supplier programs, circularity, and other evolving sustainability topicsPartner with software management groups for Resource Advisor, NEO Network, and other EcoStruxure platform enhancements, merging strategy and performance best practices with deployment of digital tools to accelerate analysis, drive transparency, and report progressMiscellaneous other service endeavors as market and client needs evolveBuild a team fostering delivery excellence, high quality service, use of digital tools, subject matter expertise for sustainability reporting and the ability to assist in new and recurring sustainability services salesPartner up with global sustainability operations team members in the development of client inventories in support of industry leading sustainability goals, targets and strategiesParticipate as "voice of the client" in discussions with Schneider Electric business and segmentCoordinate regional efforts with global SB sustainability delivery teams/program managersWhat we need from you: Background: Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university with altogether 5+ years of experience, from which 3+ years of experience must be in the sustainability or energy industryStrong people management experienceA displayed passion to make a difference for the future of our planetExperience with climate and decarbonization, ESG and broader sustainability work preferably with industry software experienceA "Digital Citizen" with a strong desire to infuse technology solutions in order to evolve effective, quality and timely service delivery; proven software development involvement is preferredSolid understanding of sustainability industry trends, challenges, opportunities and associated corporate sustainability network (i.e., prospect, client and industry contacts)Ability to listen and understand prospect/customer sustainability "pain points", and address those pains by mapping to sustainable solutionsExcellent communication, presentation and time management skillsExcellent leadership and team management skillsExceptional communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark)What we offer: Life and Health insurance packagesCafeteria allowanceYearly bonusHome Office allowancesFlexible and hybrid working modelFree language coursesWESOP (World Employee Share Ownership Plan) to become a shareholder in the companyGlobal Family LeaveEngagement groups within the company - participate and/or organize activities/events for your colleagues - either a tree planting, a power plant visit, or a bake sale to support a charity... the sky is the limit!Working at one of the most sustainable corporations in the worldInternational, diverse environment and a company culture that encourages raising questions and ideas - to make an impactReal career building opportunities locally & globally...and much more!See what our people have to say about working for Schneider Electric:
