The selected person within the Engineering Lines team will contribute to the portfolio development through risk underwriting within agreed processes, specific underwriting license, and group appetite to achieve the required plan results (new business, retention goals, loss ratio, etc).Your main functions will be to:Proactively search and underwrite complex accounts of large companies/multinationals operating in accordance with Zurich's risk policy, global Underwriting policy, and Underwriting's good governance policies, and articulate these policies into regional guidelines and best practices.Demonstrate advanced experience and knowledge of the sector and product line.Balance business risks and opportunities to achieve the best results for clients and Zurich. Contribute to new business in achieving the line's business mix objective.Provide appropriate and quality technical solutions that meet customer needs.Foster the organization's sales culture by serving as a reference point for agents, brokers, and clients.Contribute to developing technical standards, controls, and practices in the business line or related products (e.G., product development, terms, underwriting tools, and processes).Introduce and implement initiatives that contribute to the development of best practices and technical Underwriting guidelines, including controls and procedures.Handle complex queries and cases within delegated authority to facilitate profitable business underwriting.Support key aspects of portfolio management, including analysis to monitor the profitability and growth of specialized business areas.Make recommendations on aspects requiring change or corrective actions.Contribute to developing opportunities in new segments and proposals for clients, providing technical knowledge and market insight to identify opportunities to increase penetration of existing clients (cross-selling) and/or expand the Business Mix (up-selling).Proactively identify and pursue opportunities in the market.Contribute to developing relationships with intermediaries and clients, including visits as necessary.Contribute to the design and execution of the established renewal strategy as needed.Communication is key in your role, interacting with numerous people from different departments. In-depth knowledge of insurance solutions and the mediated and insurance business will be beneficial.
