We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Surgical Equipment Specialist to join our dynamic sales team and provide support across Portugal. We are happy to consider people based nearby any regional airport with connections across the country.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting, demonstrating and selling our cutting-edge Sophi Phaco machines to healthcare facilities. They will also promote a full range of related consumable and disposable products. This position requires a deep understanding of cataract procedures and the operating room environment and a proven track record in medical equipment sales.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Formal training
Successfully complete a formal training and certification program in Switzerland.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of our surgical equipment portfolio.
Relationship Building
Build strong relationships with key decision makers in healthcare facilities.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
Customer Education
Educate customers on the features and benefits of the Sophi range of machines.
Quoting and proposal generation
Work with internal stakeholders to prepare quotations and offerings to customers.
Facilitate an appropriate pricing strategy for multi-product offerings.
Pre-sales
Identify cross-selling opportunities from the wider Rayner portfolio.
Facilitate and lead wetlabs, on site demonstrations.
Clinical evaluation
Demonstrate the Sophi range in the O.R. during live surgery, programming the devices in response to surgeon preference.
Onboard the O.R. team over a period of several months.
After Sales
Provide first line technical support to HCPs, facilities, and colleagues.
Provide post-market surveillance to support MDR.
Sales reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and pipeline management.
Attend conferences and trade shows
Represent the company at local and international trade shows where needed.
Competencies:
Proven track record in surgical equipment sales.
Proven track record in ophthalmology sales.
Strong understanding of cataract surgery.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel and spend several weeks demonstrating the Sophi range in the O.R.
Qualifications:
Essential
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or marketing.
