.In the Digital Home Services Unit we develop and operate Telefonica's TV solution, called TV Open Platform, a single convergent multi-service (Pay TV / Internet TV / OTT), multi-country (8 Operating Businesses), multi-network (IPTV, OTT, CATV and DTH technology) solution, with all the elements involved in the TV service value chain: TV headend, content ingestion, platform, content protection, CDN, device development and service operation.Within it, in the Consumer Applications Development and Technology area, we are responsible for the HW design of the TV Set Top Boxes and the development of the middleware and applications that run on them to provide the best video service experience to Telefonica subscribers.We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager in the field of Video Set-Top boxes, who is able to drive technology selection processes as well as the development, homologation and deployment for the introduction of new STBs devices in the Telefonica video ecosystem.You will be part of the STB development team working closely with procurement, supply chain, product management, PMO and homologation teams as well as external partners like STB OEMs or several security and technology vendors.This role demands the supervision of the successful development, launch and maintenance of Global STB programs. This role matches someone who is organized, change-oriented, and understands the diverse perspectives of stakeholders to deliver STB Global programs.The ideal candidate has to be passionate about video technology, interested in the TV & video entertainment domain, with expertise in delivering consumer products.Job Requirements Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.5+ years of experience in the construction of consumer devices for video projects.Experience in hardware architecture (video SoCs technology, GPUs, RAM and flash memory, Bluetooth chipsets, digital outputs, RCUs, etc).Demonstrated experience in software development with embedded Linux: Yocto environment, bootloader architectures, makefiles, shell scripting, C/C++, Python.Experience understanding and adopting security requirements for device and content protection and coordinating the fulfillment of security implementation through specialized security partners (Nagra, Widevine, PlayReady, etc).Proven experience coordinating industry partners for video product development.Ability to elaborate specifications and complex technical information as well as proven experience managing technical RFP/RFQ processes.Experience with end-to-end product delivery.Ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a changing environment.Comfortable understanding and discussing video technology concepts and defining strategy with other technical team members.Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing stakeholders.Fluent in English is a must.If you join us, we offer you..
