Statistical Programming Operations Director The Statistical Programming Operations Director is accountable for overseeing operational activities across Oncology Statistical Programming. Primarily the focus will be on Oncology Biometrics internal delivery of analysis and reporting activities. The role requires strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills as well as a proven track record in management and oversight of operational activities facilitating successful delivery across Oncology Biometrics.
Typical Accountabilities Accountable for managing a team of contract workers and vendor suppliersArranges and structures this team in order to create an environment where the team can work productively and collaboratively togetherRecruits and builds the team with the appropriate skill setEffectively manages the performance of contract Programming teamEnsures the team is fully utilised by deployment and re deployment to projects and studies as demand dictatesCaptures business needs and plans recruitment accordinglyManages the contracting teams training and timesheet complianceProvide input into the strategy for the programming function based on strong operational knowledgeProvide an operational dashboard including drug project updates, cost projection and resource levelsProvides input to capacity management for all projects in scopeAids a consistent approach across BiometricsLeads and contributes to improvement and organizational initiatives within and outside of functionDrives continuous improvement of the team and functionCollaborates cross-functionally and represents Programming leadershipContributes to portfolio level Biometrics capacity managementContributes to and maintains budgetary constraints through the long range planning processesEducation, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Degree in Mathematical (i.e., Applied Math, Engineering, etc), Statistical, Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent.Expert planning and organisational skillsProven programming leadership experienceThorough knowledge of the clinical development processDemonstrated leadership capability and proven ability to lead teams towards a common goalStrong ability to influence relevant stakeholders and global teamsAbility to provide input to functional strategiesAbility to manage risk in complicated or novel situationsFunctional strategistDemonstrated experience designing and implementing business processesExcellent problem solving and conflict resolution skillsBroad experience across therapeutic areas and outside of the field of Programming
