Our multicultural Payroll team is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our Spain Payroll Operations Team in Barcelona. This individual must be customer obsessed and eager to dive deep into processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of delivering process efficiency results. The preferred candidate has experience in the Spanish payroll process/payroll systems and has the ability to abstract requirements independently. Key Job Responsibilities Own the payroll processing cycle for a country or a company depending on size and complexityPayroll balances and controls at input and output (Source to Gross, Gross to Net)Payroll accounting supportComplex payroll queries & escalationsVendor operations managementPoint of contact for stakeholders (Benefits, Compensation, Stock Options, HR Services, Local HR, Recruitment, Accounting, Treasury, and others)Projects: process improvement (Six Sigma), country expansions, new payroll setup BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience in Spanish PayrollFluent in Spanish and EnglishAdvanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, and other formulas)Good analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailExperience with Spanish Labor Code, Taxation, Social Security System PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Deep knowledge of personal income tax legislation, labor lawFamiliar with SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, ADP softwareExperience with process transitionsSense of innovation
