The Senior Manager, Molecular Biology and Sample Preparation Regional Market Development role at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is an outstanding opportunity to lead a highly creative and collaborative team in developing the regional marketing strategy to support the growth of the assigned portfolio.
Responsibilities Determine the specific needs of the region based on market analysis, customer needs, and potential areas for growth, and use this information to influence global strategy as the expert partnerDevelop localised EMEA strategies and appropriate marketing programsEnable the team to implement the local strategy, adapting over time based on resultsAct as the regional point of contact for global marketing and product management, sharing the local voice of customer, voice of sales, and regional market trends, opportunities, and challengesEmbody our 4i values and demonstrate crucial skills and leadership abilitiesKey Functions Lead and develop the Molecular Biology and Sample Preparation team of Regional Market Developers to deliver on growth and revenue objectivesEstablish and drive a culture of partnership, teamwork, and positivity to deliver rapid wins in a dynamic marketDevelop efficiencies and effectiveness across the team and with the wider group of contacts and partnersMentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential and aid them in progressing in their careers at Thermo FisherUse detailed analysis and regular reporting of regional business performance to determine appropriate actionsManage regular marketing performance reporting to regional and global partners, including dashboards, MBRs, QBRs, QMRs, etc.Set a regional strategy with the RMDs to define, plan, and implement product launches, price actions, upgrades, and obsolescence of existing productsAdvocate for customer-focused marketing activities, working across matrix structures, and enabling cross-BU and cross-division marketing campaigns and activitiesDevelop and implement customer and market research programsMaintain knowledge of trends and competitive activity relevant to the product lines and markets served/targetedOversee OpEx forecasting and hold overall responsibility for the budgetWork closely with commercial teams and platforms teams to deliver regional revenue targets. Partner with commercial leaders to align marketing/sales strategiesEstablish revenue goals for new products in the region by considering the local market conditionsRequirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.Proven track record in marketing roles, preferably in the life sciences industry, with at least 5 years of experience.Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.Excellent project management, organization, and prioritization skills.Ability to work at a fast pace and effectively prioritize tasks to manage a high workload.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.Experience in people leadership will be considered advantageous.Personal Skills and Attributes Champions diversity, respects, understands, and values individual differences to achieve the vision and mission of the organizationLearns continuously, embraces new and diverse ideas, is reflective, and extracts learning from failureIs flexible in changing and ambiguous situationsBuilds a personal development plan to acquire/advance skills and shares findings broadly What we offerEmployment with an innovative, future-oriented organisationOutstanding career and development prospectsCompany pension scheme and other fringe benefitsExciting company culture which stands for integrity, intensity, involvement and innovation
