Responsibilities:Lead the design, development and optimization of AI systems for human behavior and scene understandingWork closely with other technology departments to deploy, monitor and support AI services in hundreds of storesPromote and enforce best practices in software development, project management, and researchMentor engineers and contribute to create a collaborative remote team environment, leading the team's knowledge-sharing effortsStay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in AI to assess their potential application in current and future projectsCommunicate effectively with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals, gather feedback, and report progressRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field4+ years of experience as a Software EngineerProficiency in PythonProven experience in leading AI projects, with a focus on computer visionExpertise in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision algorithms and frameworksExcellent leadership, communication, and management skillsAdditional Qualifications:Proficiency in GolangExperience with gRPC and ProtobufExperience with containerized applications, Kubernetes and DockerExperience in a fast-paced, product-driven startup environmentExperience in the autonomous retail industry or a similar domainExperience in MLOps, DevOps, build/release/deployment automation
